What is CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the many different forms of talking therapy.

CBT is based on the concept that our feelings, thoughts, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap us in vicious cycle.

CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problem in more positive way, by breaking it to smaller parts. Identifying first some of the negative patterns that we are stuck with, you are shown than how to change them with some of the strategies and techniques, and improve the way you feel.

CBT focuses on current problems that need to be solved, is highly structure approach (goal oriented), and collaborative – where your therapist will not tell you what to do, but work with you to find solutions to your current difficulties.

CBT is a recommended therapy type treatment by National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines for anxiety disorders, depression and many other metal health problems.
